Absolutely superb! Wheelbase rescued me when I discovered at short notice that I need to restrict the gears on my son’s bike. I took it back to have the gear restriction removed and they also adjusted the hoods and bar as well. Very knowledgable and really good advice given. Highly recommended.

Fantastic staff. I arrived at the shop upset because I'd managed to jam my chain whilst cycling nearby. The mechanic was really helpful and I left the shop knowing my bike was safely repaired.

My neglected bike was in dire need of attention, and Liam in the workshop worked his magic, rebuilding the wheels, installing a new drivetrain, and refreshing the frame bearings. The result? My bike feels like it just rolled out of the factory. He patiently explained the repairs and offered valuable maintenance tips. Wheelbase Ilkley has a five-star gem in Liam, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Ordered a bike online for store collection. The bike that arrived was not the model shown online. Bike sent was slightly inferior spec. The shop went out of the way to make the new bike as close as the one I ordered. Lovely guys to deal with. Will shop here again.

Wow! Had high-end SRAM AXS rear mech failing. Was out of warranty and in pieces when I tried to service it myself. Hadn't bought it from Wheelbase, but they offered to send it back to SRAM along with another which was within warranty (also bought elsewhere). SRAM must listen to them: Bernie from Wheelbase let me know that SRAM had sent back a brand new XX1 replacement. Kudos to the Ilkley Wheelbase team, and thank you, SRAM!

Wheelbase @ Ilkley were fantastic when I went in looking for a new road bike. Loads of bikes from a great range of manufacturers on display, fantastic knowledgeable and helpful staff. I was even invited to bring my own shoes and pedals in with me and was able to test ride a bike I was interested in purchasing which was invaluable, it greatly helped with the buying process. A few tweaks to the setup were made in store by the staff to get everything just right. Special mention to Bernie who was brilliant throughout the whole process. It was evident the aftercare is also excellent, I was chatting to another customer who had brought her bike in with an issue and she spoke very highly of them. And last but not least the price, the bike was discounted which made Wheelbase very competitive beating all other retailers on this model. In fact I’d say I’d be prepared to purchase from Wheelbase again even if they weren’t the cheapest option as the level of service and expertise would justify it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wheelbase whether you’re buying in store or on-line.
