Start to finish loved it all lunch soup was lovely. Then to our Amazing room spotless lovely Decor. We are immensely grateful to James and the entire team for their exceptional service and support throughout our stay. Despite encountering a room leak during inclement weather, James efficiently addressed the issue by promptly providing a room change and compensation. His sincere, professional, and expedient handling of the situation transformed what could have been a setback into a humorous anecdote, enhancing rather than diminishing our minibreak experience. Even amidst a bustling New Year's crowd, the bar never had a queue, and the restaurant service was swift without dramatic waits for food. The establishment operates like a well-oiled machine, with staff demonstrating mutual respect and consideration for both each other and the patrons. Our departure left us feeling more rejuvenated than we have in years, having discovered a place that treats us as genuine guests. It won't be long before we return for another memorable visit.

Staff lovely and friendly. Beautiful building and decor, especially the dining room with the fantastic views and lovely open fire (great to come down to in the morning). Our pancake bacon and maple syrup breakfast was delicious! Great parking. Room 1 was a little small and it would have been nice to have 2 easy chairs and a side table to watch the lovely large tv. I think the room probably couldn’t accommodate this though so more suitable for the single traveler or people who don’t mind laying on the bed to watch tv etc. Otherwise this was a beautifully decorated and super clean and warm room. Good number of sockets and USBs. Great lighting options. Good to have a number of large mirrors, especially as we were dressing for a wedding. Bed was on the hard side but we liked that. Lovely soft pillows and good housekeeping.

Staff were extremely friendly friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had everything we needed (I found the mattress a bit too firm personally). Sunday lunch was very good although the food could have been hotter but it was very busy. The only notable thing that should have been better was the Gent's toilet where the radiator was extremely rusty and there was no bolt/lock on the cubicle. Overall, we were really happy and would certainly go back and be more than happy to recommend.

Lovely setting and great room. We were very impressed by the size, cleanliness and facilities in the room. Very large and well-equipped bathroom. The pub and restaurant were great. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast was very good too. Great value for money. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Location is beautiful and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean. Excellent Sunday lunch despite being exceptionally busy. Would definitely return and happy to recommend.

The location of the hotel provides a wondeful view with very little noise from outside at night. The food was fantastic and the service was very friendly and professional. Id only say by way of constructive criticism two points. Firstly, the pillows where a bit too stiff and the food (while delicious) did not agree with my wife and I. It could perhaps be a little less greasy. Otherwise, a much needed and comfortable stay. Nearby activities: Beautiful walking country all aroud and not too far from the town Food & drinks: Wonderful food and service

Everything was great, the staff couldn't do enough for us. We dined both nights in the restaurant and have to say, the food was very good. I couldn't fault any of the dishes. One minor criticism was breakfast. Both myself and my wife thought the food should have been warmer. The breakfast was very good though, good portion size and tasty, quality food. We will be booking again.

Stayed one Sunday night. Lovely room on second floor but unfortunately no view. Bathroom ok but shower was not brilliant. Room was spotlessly clean and bed very comfy. The Sunday dinner was superb and my partner said the steak pie was excellent. Breakfast was ok. Good value for money
