Have played the course a few times, always a friendly welcome, we had some food which was included in the deal that was very good, and the the course for January was in good condition.

Very pleasant walk by the river with each tee flowing on from the last green. Nice clubhouse on the hillside with very good food served.

As a golfer myself, why must all this quality floodplain land be used for the leisure of a few? A team of golfers pointed us to the exits in unison, just for trying to walk across. Scary. The grass is always greener on the other side

A gem of a course which is always in great condition. We've only ever played it at the twilight rate because we couldn't afford to play at peak times. The course has always been quiet when we've played. The only part I've not enjoyed is the drive to the course - your clutch might get tested. From Manchester, it's taken us nearly an hour and a half to get to.

Lovely course, we book it again for the same Invitational each year. Professionals are really helpful, House Staff polite and friendly...true Yorkshire hospitality
